🃏 How to Play Mini Bridge
The Goal
Win more tricks than the opposition. There are 13 tricks in total.
The Setup
- North & South are partners (N/S team)
- East & West are partners (E/W team)
- South is the Declarer
- North is the Dummy
- West leads the first card
Trumps
The trump suit beats all other suits. Even a 2 of trumps beats an Ace of another suit!
Trumps are shown in the info bar at the top.
Playing a Trick
- The highlighted player plays first
- Play goes clockwise
- You must follow suit if you can
- If you can't follow suit, play any card (including trumps)
Winning a Trick
- Highest card of the led suit wins
- Unless someone plays a trump - then highest trump wins
- Winner leads the next trick

♠ Spades (highest)
♥ Hearts
♦ Diamonds
♣ Clubs (lowest)
Card Ranking

(Ace highest, 2 lowest)
Controls
- Click card to play it
- Click centre after 4 cards to collect trick
- Deal Cards starts a new game
- Show All / Hide toggles opponent cards
Tips
- Playable cards glow gold on hover
- Invalid plays show a warning
- The winning card is highlighted
📱 Using This App
Getting Started
- Cards are dealt automatically when you load the page
- Read the info card in the centre
- Click the info card to begin play
The Interface
Top bar: Shows trump suit, trick scores, whose turn, and lead suit.
Table: Green felt with four hands arranged North, East, South, West.
Centre: Where played cards land.
Playing Cards
- The active player is highlighted in gold
- Hover over cards to see which are playable
- Click a valid card to play it
- Card animates to the centre
Visual Feedback
- Gold glow = your turn / playable card
- Dimmed card = can't play this card
- Red bubble = error message
- Gold border = winning card
Collecting Tricks
After all 4 players have played:
- The winning card glows gold
- An overlay shows who won
- Click anywhere on the cards to collect
- The winner leads next
Buttons
Deal Cards Start a fresh game with new hands
Show All Reveal East & West cards
Hide Opponents Hide East & West cards
Game End
After 13 tricks, the final score is displayed.
Click Deal Cards to play again.
Understanding the Display
- Cards sorted by suit: ♠ ♥ ♦ ♣
- Within suit: high to low (A→2)
- Red suits: ♥ ♦
- Black suits: ♠ ♣
Troubleshooting
- Can't click a card? Check if it's your turn (gold highlight)
- Card won't play? You must follow suit if able
- Nothing happening? Click the centre info card to start
